Another Step Forward: Podcasting Part 1

I have big plans for Coffee & Story Time and have yet taken another step in those plans.

I uploaded my first preview podcast a little less than a month ago to see how it would go and what my readers thoughts were over this idea, and to be honest, I was rather nervous. I cannot tell you how many times I recorded that first episode just because I would jumble words throughout the session, or all my dogs would decide to bark right at the end of it. I actually had to make me some coffee to bring in the inspiration and calm me down to get through just three minutes. My husband suggested after I do so many to just make a compilation of throw out edits for those of you interested to listen to and laugh at and say “Really”?

Afterwards, I sent the recording to my sister and a friend first to receive their feedback and was glad to hear what they had to say. My sister liked it saying it was good for a first one and she could just picture my face while I was speaking the words. Then my friend said she loved it thinking I have that radio voice and then she shared it with her coworkers in the following days and a few sent in their own stories for me to share for them.

This is really what I am hoping for and looking towards, having that involvement from and with others. To pull others in to interact and share their own opinions and voices. To let out my creativity for anyone who is interested to enjoy and reflect on in their own lives.

I look forward to creating more and continuing forward with this new event. At this time a goal would be one time a week but unsure I can dedicate myself to that right now I will push one episode every other week may be one a month or just upload them as I can, and hope others will agree and remain with me with this new addition to the coffee time journey.
