Moving right on into Octo”BER”🎃

We have now moved from Septem”BER” into Octo”BER” so time for some reflection and a new monthly Bucket List!

I did not make it to a fruit orchard yet but do plan to this month if nothing intervenes so that bucket list item of reflection will have to hold off for a little while. However, I did make the honey cinnamon butter, and it turned out great! We made some bread to go with it as well!

If anyone else would like to try it, it is pretty simple and said to be the recipe for the “Texas Roadhouse Copy Cat Cinnamon Honey Butter”.

½ cup salted butter (softened)

¼ cup powdered sugar

1 Tablespoon honey

½ teaspoon vanilla extract

1 ½ teaspoon ground cinnamon

1/8 teaspoon sea salt

Once you have gathered all the ingredients then you blend them with a mixture well and fully and serve as is. If placed in the refrigerator it will harden quiet a bit compared to served at room temperature.

Now, after checking out this new list for Octo”BER” I know I have always wanted to visit an authentic pumpkin patch and enjoy some sort of festival revolving around it. I do hope to do that this year during October or maybe even in November around Thanksgiving. Cozy blankets, warming fires, fall treats, and Halloween crafts are my things! I also enjoy a good pumpkin carving creation from time to time!

Now for you, check out this thrilling & spooky list to complete as much as you can before this haunting month comes to an end:

-          Snuggle up in your favorite time of year blanket

-          Take a bike ride

-          Make a Halloween craft

-          Collect leaves and paint them

-          Paint and/or carve a pumpkin

-          Forage for mushrooms (but stay safe or forage in your local grocery store, at least maybe do not eat them unless you know you can)

-          Eat dinner by candlelight

-          Tell spooky stories over a fire

-          Host a soup night and exchange recipes

-          Make salted pumpkin seeds

-          Try a new autumn drink

-          Make caramel apples or a similar treat

-          Study herbalism and plant uses for future dishes

-          Read a tale from brother’s grimm

-          Visit a pumpkin patch

Once more, tell me which one you are surely looking forward to, share an experience you might have already had, and what is something that may be missing from this list that you want to share with others?
