Sweet Tooth

Now I know sugar is bad for you whether health in general or creating cavities in your teeth, but every one has a sweet tooth now and then.

My husband is more of a sweet eater then I am, sometime sweets are just to much for me. When we make dishes for a family gathering or something my husband normally makes the desserts while I make a side of some sort. He loves any sweet just about and willing to try any. As a gift this past birthday I got him a variety cake plate from a lady I went to school with who has started her own bakery type business. It turned out extremely well.

Then on a trip with my family we went to a restaurant style I had never been to, a Brazilian Steakhouse, at request of my sister and the food was incredible but they had a red velvet cheesecake, a mix of my two favorites, and it was delicious. Although the richness of it all did upset my stomach. Again hints to why sweets are and can be to much for me.

If I had to admit to a sweet addiction besides red velvet and cheesecake I would say cookies are for sure a main weakness for me. A nice glass of milk to dip my chocolate chip cookies in are what I crave some nights after supper or before bed.

But the best sweet that I cannot deny would be any type of chocolate or dessert mixed with some sort of coffee flavoring.

Yes coffee.

I mean coffee is in the blog home page title, you had to see this coming.

I mean they make anything now a days with coffee. Coffee nut M&Ms, coffee ice cream, coffee cake, coffee truffles. The list goes on and on and when I find something new with "Coffee" in the title or ingredients, I am totally up to trying it!

Me and my husband stopped at a coffee & chocolate house in a small town on a trip home one time and as soon as we walked in coffee and chocolate filled our nostrils. The small business was friendly and quite quaint. We browsed many options through out the rooms and left with chocolate flavored coffee then bags of Mocha and Cappuccino Crunch which was an incredible treat to snack on keeping me awake and alert while driving back home for several more hours.

But if I am being honest I cannot forget one more sweet item, the one thing that goes great with coffee alone.

Donuts!

Who does not like donuts?

They come in all kinds of shapes and sizes and flavors. I remember when I was younger my aunt took me and my sister and my cousin to a donut place in town and you were able to watch them make the donuts on the other side of a clear glassed window into the back of their shop and it was so cool. Watching as the dough was made, baked, and presented to be chosen. I used to only eat chocolate covered ones, but now my donut taste buds have grown and I find many appetizing. Also back then I did not share the breakfast meal with coffee, but now the two go perfect together.

You can see what sweets I lean to

Now tell me

What satisfies your sweet tooth?
