Adults can Color too😉

Lately, I’ve been making a conscious effort to be more present — to slow down and genuinely enjoy the moment. It’s easy to slip into doing things just to pass the time or distract myself from everything going on in life. But I’ve realized there’s real value in fully immersing myself in a small, simple activity and finding joy in it for what it is.
For me, that’s taken different forms over time — video games have always been my go-to, but they can easily become too consuming. Then there were Legos, which of course I still build, but now, I've found myself drawn back to coloring. And honestly, it's been really nice, even comforting.
I’ve especially enjoyed practicing shadows and techniques again. I even started following a coloring page on Facebook that I located through a coloring book I got, and its amazing what people can do with just crayons, markers, and a black-and-white page. Some add sparkles or highlights that make their work look magical. Ultimately, the creativity and talent out there is truly inspiring.
There was a time I thought I was pretty good at painting, but looking back, I’m not sure if I overestimated my skills — or maybe it's just one of those things that fades if you don’t keep at it. Either way, that doesn’t stop me from picking it back up and enjoying it just as much now. Sometimes, it’s not about being great at something — it’s just about taking the time to enjoy it.
Check out these cozy coffee spaces and spooky cute vibes that I took the time and truly put my vision into color on the pages in front of me. Also, check out the page and/or author. Who knows, maybe you’re an adult needing a creative space of your own or know someone who would enjoy this just as much as I have.
Then look at these three photos, although you may not can see what I see but I did attempt at shading and darkening areas to practice further. Making a toasty and slightly burnt marshmellow. Darkened in color for the bottom of the pumpkin or inside of a cinnamon stick.
Last ones, I will let you tell me if you can see it or not. If not, that is okay. I am just happy with sharing them and glad to be enjoying it and so proud of myself with some of the outcomes!
(And sorry most of it is Halloween related, I was currently loving this coloring book I found related to that Holiday!)
