Trying Coffee Things

Now I have mentioned throughout previous blogs trying different types of coffee or different types of items that have some sort of coffee flavor, whether it be beans from around the world or chocolate infused with a hint of coffee, if I have heard about it and discovered it, then I have found some way to try it!

I had a coffee tasting day where I added in several flavors recommended by others and recently tried a rather strange one. Coffee & butter, who would have thought of that?? Turns out this is a common thing over in in North India, Vietnam, and Singapore while Tibet has po cha which is tea and Yak butter. The Yak butter is a form of sugar substitute because it has a sweeter taste and might even be healthier and has since been added to coffee and not just tea. Now I did not have Yak butter, but I did try it with some of our own dairy butter and guess what it was rather different. Almost like drinking liquid butter and coffee, my husband did not mind the flavor though. What is funny though, is I would have never thought of this until my Uncle brought it up and I looked it up finding out the use Yak butter in coffee is a thing, but he said he knew I would have to taste it this way now anyways just because that is who I am. Once I find out something or have an idea whether I think of it or someone throws it at me, I will go for it.

Moving forward I saw this coffee punch recipe one day when scrolling on Facebook and immediately saved it knowing I would need to try and make that! Well me and my husband did and found it quite tasty. Not something I could always enjoy but something new to whip out every now and then!

On top of these I have found mocha coffee flavored items are good drinks such as through Starbucks or something similar, well my husband ran across this new one called super coffee thinking it was about the same….wrong. Not hating on this drink but it was not for me, and I am not sure because stevia was used in it and I just can taste this and only this or what but I was not fond of this coffee liquid creation.

Outside of coffee in a liquid form I have this love for chocolate chip coffee ice cream that this one brand is sold in gelato form. Well this same company came out with cookie coffee crumble. Thinking I would love it just as much, I did not. Do not get me wrong I finished it off, but I will not go out of my way to get more, the flavoring was a bit different for my liking with all that was mixed in with it. But I did like the layers of chocolate chunks and vanilla bean.

Trying random coffee items such as this reminds me to be grateful of the Coffee I do love and know I can always run to when I need it most!

Would you try any of these coffee items? What is a coffee combination you like that I can try?
